Noise of the Bruit

Prophecy: 9:00 AM Saturday, January 3,1998

Setting

This week I had set aside Saturday as my worship time with the Lord. Because we do not know what is in our hearts and minds, I prayed last night for help and forgiveness. I did not want anything to interfere with my worship and praying. I started my prayer time with praise and worship music. This helps settle my mind and directs my heart to concentrate on Him alone. The music helped me relax and I felt a peace in my soul. I turned off the music after I felt the Holy Spirit's presence.

As I gave attendance to praying, I heard the Holy Spirit singing and knew it was His song. As I listened to the tune, I sang along with Him. There was no delay or interruption in the flow of His voice and mine. I did not understand the words because it was in a tongue I did not understand, but I knew that this song was a sad, hurtful song. It was a love song for a lost loved-one that had left Him. My mind did not comprehend its meaning, but my heart was extremely moved as I felt the pain of the Lord's heart exhibited by the song. I thought, "Why is my Lord so pained in grief?" The verse of the song continued for a few notes and then ended very softly. I heard the Lord say to me, "Jeannette, I want you to read Jeremiah 10." I had no knowledge of the contents of this passage prior to reading it. Since my Bible was before me (I was on my knees), I turned to the chapter and read Jeremiah 10:1-13 at which point God began to speak. Beginning in verse 14 He began telling me of His grief. Initially He followed the text, but then He interrupted the passage by having me turn to another one. Having read that text He directed me to return to this passage to finish the message. As I read verses 22 and 23 the Holy Spirit interjected prophetic words and I followed Him and not the passage. He explained to me that the additional words He was interjecting related to events happening in His church today and were the cause for His grief that I was discerning. It was as if He wanted me not to mis-interpret the text He had given me. At the end of His visitation I heard Him say that He will begin the process (that of scattering the flocks {v.21}) this day, Saturday, January 3, 1998, for the sound of the report and the sins of the people are tumultuous in His ears.

Sequence of Holy Spirit's Vistation after His singing

The Spirit told me that the meaning of the song is in Jeremiah 10:19: Woe is me for my hurt! My wound is grievous, but I said, Truly this is a grief, and I must bear it. 20: My tabernacle is spoiled, and all my cords are broken; my children are gone forth from me, and they are not; there is none to stretch forth my tent any more, and to set up my curtains.

At this point I was told to turn to Exodus 32:17: And when Joshua heard the noise of the people as they shouted, he said unto Moses, There is a noise of war in the camp. 18: And he said, it is not the voice of them who shout for mastery, neither is it the voice of them who cry for being overcome; but the noise of them who sing do I hear.

The Lord said, "Jeannette turn back to Jeremiah 10:21" without explaining why I was to read the Exodus passage. I guess He assumed I would understand the connection. As I read Jeremiah 10:21 He spoke the scripture to me as I read it. He said, For my pastors are 1 become brutish, and have not sought the LORD; therefore they shall not prosper, and all their flocks shall be scattered.

Interjection Prophecy by the Holy Spirit verses 22 and 23

Thus saith the LORD, (because of) what they have spoken to the people who seek this revival, I shall give them over to the den of dragons. Behold, the noise of the bruit is come, and what they speak shall happen and come to pass upon them. They speak blessings and of spiritual things that are not of me,

"But out of the mouth of a brute, which brute is full of the sprirt of error"

The spiritual thing is the new thing (spirit of error) of dragons that my people have drunken. They (the pastors) shall abide with that great dragon and their prophets that lie with the great horror. What they have spoken to the people will be a curse and not a blessing. The hiss of the dragon, which is sweet music that sound as drops of honey shall be cursed and cursed is those who receive it, lest (unless) they repent this hour while it is today. For tomorrow shall come the curse, those who are brutes who speak and put the people in fear, so shall it come upon them that speak of death. Those who speak the sword shall die by the sword, for I have not anointed you. That great deceiver the dragon has come out of the north, and you are drunk with darkness and the spirit of error. He has bid you to dine in the den of dragons and jackals. This great commotion out of the North Country is from the pit of hell. You know not my true prophets; neither did they know Moses, the man that brought them out of the land of Egypt, and they 2 knew not what is become of him. My prophets shall stand at the gate of the camp and shall say, "Who is on the LORD's side? Let them come unto me." My prophets will not say sweet things to you to cause you to err, but the truth of a prophet will cry out of the wilderness and shall say with a voice that cries, "Consecrate yourselves today to the LORD."

Then the Spirit said to read Isaiah 35:3: Strengthen the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees. 4: ...Be strong, fear not; behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God, with a recompense; he will come and save you.

The visitation ended with the Holy Spirit saying: Repent, Repent for ye have sinned a great sin!

Background

From Jeannette's description of the setting of the Holy Spirit's visitation we learn that He is sorely grieved about something. In order to prevent Jeannette and the readers who read this from taking liberty to interpret this prophecy however one wishes, the Holy Spirit gave specific passages 3 that gives the explicit message God wants His people to have.

The love song He sang reminds one of the words of Jesus in Revelation 2:4:

Revelation 2:4
4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.  (KJV)

Similar to the church of the first century, which had left their first love by mingling false doctrine with the true gospel of Jesus Christ, so it is happening again in this, the last century. We have come full circle. Early on, even before half a century had past, Paul chided the Galatians about not sticking with the pure gospel of Jesus Christ. They were adding works - keeping the law - to the gospel Paul had brought them and thus perverted it. He even went so far as calling it another gospel and labeled them accursed if they did so. Why? A perverted gospel cannot save. Today, the Catholic church teaches a progressive salvation, which denies the fact of a perfect and completed work done by Jesus on the cross, and many Protestant churches are mixing extrabiblical teachings through prophetic phenomena along with the mixture of "seed" from groups who neither know the Lord nor desire to know Him. The scriptures are Holy and must not be added to nor diminished from:

  Proverbs 30:6
6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar. (KJV)
  Jeremiah 26:2
2 Thus saith the LORD; Stand in the court of the LORD's house, and speak unto all the cities of Judah, which come to worship in the LORD's house, all the words that I command thee to speak unto them; diminish not a word: (KJV)

Reason for God's gref...

Jesus praying!

We are led to the scripture that denotes the reason for God's grief in Jeremiah 10:19. The Holy Spirit mimes through song - since we cannot see Him - the baneful hurt one sees in verse 19: Woe is me for my hurt! My wound is grievous: but I said, Truly this is a grief and I must bear it. One can feel the emotional pain spilling out of those words. Then we learn the reason for His hurt. Verse 20: My tabernacle is spoiled, and all my cords are broken: my children are gone forth of me, and they are not: there is none to stretch forth my tent any more, and to set up my curtains. What a description of a wayward church which has not taken heed to keeping the gospel pure and unmixed from error.

God's tabernacle is His dwelling place and that's us Christians. He says it is spoiled meaning it is made impure. All His cords, which are the means by which His tabernacle is kept in tact, are broken. The cords represent sound doctrine whereby the gospel can be distinguished from "another gospel." In other words, the Christian distinctives have been blurred and obscured to outsiders. There are so many trappings today in the affluent Laodicean Church on the one hand, and on the other, people who desire to turn away from the wrong way are told to pick out a church and attend it as if any way is the right way. Hear the words of the Lord:

Isaiah 59:14-15

14 ...Judgment is turned away backward...truth is fallen in the street...

15 Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey; and the Lord saw it and it displeased him that there was no judgment. (KJV)

Where are the distinguishing features of the Holy and the profane? "Repent and believe the gospel" (Paul's gospel) has been changed to "repent and forge your own way to heaven." Yet it displeases the Lord when we do not help those who are leaving a wayward life style to find the right way to God. Notice that the new convert makes himself a prey, i.e., a victim, if we do not teach him the truth. We are told not to judge the "new things" that are coming forth from pulpits at an alarming rate. But where there is no judgment truth fails. Also, the new translations of the Bible have abetted Satan's cause by changing many of God's "cords" that hold up His tabernacle. Truly many of His children are gone away from him for a cosmic Christ who cannot save anyone.

The Spirit said that there is none to stretch forth His tent any more and to set up his curtain. Why? Because all is done now for the sake of unity. Few people are heralding a pure gospel. They fear the ostracism of the "elite" leaders, the "priests who bear rule by their (the prophets) means":

Jeremiah 5:30-31

30 A wonderful (astonishing) and horrible thing is committed in the land;

31 The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof? (KJV)

The "new breed" leaders of the church gladly receive everyone's vision as authentic because, they say, no one has a corner on the truth. All experiences are received as truth simply because someone had it! Yet the Bible never tells us to come and experience (emote) together. Rather it admonishes us to come reason together (Isaiah 1:18). We find, however, in this new order of things that reasoning is subservient to having experiences and going on Mecca's to receive "blessings." 4

The Holy Spirit made it clear in His prophecy that His pastors have become brutish, i.e., unreasonable (and according to the scripture in the Authorized Version of the Bible, stupid) 5. There is a play on the word brutish in that it not only is referring to the report of the Holy Spirit about the commotion (i.e., confusion) some pastors are permitting in their churches and meetings, but it also refers to the brutish type of behaviors we are witnessing in God's tabernacles today. Is it not irrational for humans to make sounds or noises like animals? Is it not unreasonable, even stupid as the King James puts it, for mankind to behave like uncivilized beings - biting people on the leg, slithering like snakes, or wallowing on the floor in uncontrollable fashion? "Brute" means animalistic or uncivilized, and we are surely seeing it displayed at the "blessings" oriented churches. Furthermore, spiritual drunkenness is multiplying and spreading throughout Christendom.

In the prophecy given for the current situation the Holy Spirit interprets verses 21 and 22 as a "new thing" of error, perhaps better designated as the "spirit of error." Note that the idolatrous practices in verses 10:1-13 are spoken of as "the work of error" in verse 15 and are considered vanity, i.e., empty and worthless. Yet the "workers of error" today tell people they are being cleansed and edified by these experiences. Next, the Holy Spirit tells Jeannette to sound the alarm that this idolatrous practice of spiritual drunkenness is straight out of the pit of hell. He considers it venom from the great dragon that has come out of the North Country. The seemingly sweet music we hear as drops of honey is cursed and whoever imbibes is cursed with it. This is no "laughing" matter (no pun intended). The drunkards are drunk with darkness and error. God said He has not anointed this "new thing" and those who become drunk and partake of this commotion are dining in the den of dragons and jackals. Note verse 22 where the Word of God says that the "commotion" or "noise of the bruit," the fun and games in the tabernacles of the Lord, has made His Holy place a den of dragons. This truly is a serious matter.

It is noteworthy that the Holy Spirit referred to the Exodus passage where Moses delayed his coming down from the mountain (similarly as Jesus is delaying His second coming from the heavenly mountain) as the illustration about what is going on in the church world today. The prophets today are speaking sweet things to cause people to err. They say that the church is marching on to victory and we will take over the world for Jesus and rule as His corporate Christ. This is clearly Manifest Sons of God and Latter Day Rain teaching which began in the 30s (or thereabouts if we exclude the Shakers movement) in the North Country, i.e., in northern Saskatchewan, Canada. This teaching has joined hands with Dominionism of both the political and the religious world. Where are the leaders who are espousing Matthew 24 - our Lord's very own prophecy -- and the scriptures that teach Christians are to be raptured and will not take over the world.

The voice of those who are members of the so-called endtime Joel's army is silenced by the Holy Spirit's warning that those who "speak the sword shall die by the sword." These people have been intimidating the sheep by telling them they dare not talk against the prophetic utterances of the elite prophets and apostles or they will be killed. God said in this visitation that it would come upon them! They are having a heyday at their conferences with their drumbeats and drawn swords displayed. But God says that this new spiritual thing is the spirit of error. It is the "noise of war in the camp" as in Moses day. The noise (sound) of the report (commotion) has reached the ears of God. And He's grieved.
"speak the sword shall die by the sword."

Summary

God wants to know who is on His side? Then He answers saying "those who will cry out in the wilderness" as John the Baptist did in his day. The wilderness is the sad state of the world, which is scheduled as per scripture for judgment by God. Who will abide in the day of His wrath? Only those who will repent of this spiritual darkness, this "new thing" which God has not ordained, and those who will consecrate themselves to God. The Holy Spirit considers the "new" direction of the church a great sin whether it be the ecumenical direction of unity without doctrinal purity as depicted in the breaking of God's cords or allowing the spirit of the dragon to infest His tabernacles. The Exodus children played the harlot while waiting for Moses to come down from the mountain. Joshua thought it was the "noise" of war. Moses said no. Accepting that "bruit" means a report or announcement, one can speak of the "report" of Moses to Joshua as thus:

Exodus 32:18
18 And he said, It is not the voice of them that shout for mastery, neither is it the voice of them that cry for being overcome: but the noise of them that sing do I hear. (KJV)

They were dancing and playing instead of patiently waiting to hear from God. The connection the Holy Spirit intends seems to be that the renewal has quickly degenerated into spiritual idolatry in the same way that the Exodus generation played the harlot:

8 They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them: they have made them a molten calf, and have worshipped it, and have sacrificed thereunto, and said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which have brought thee up out of the land of Egypt. (KJV)

The spirit of the dragon has infiltrated our ranks in like manner as the spirit of the serpent did in Moses day. And God wants to know who is on His side.

Moses

Exodus 32:26

26 Then Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, Who is on the LORD's side? let him come unto me. And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together unto him. (KJV)

We must be quick to repent for the Holy Spirit has declared that as of the day of this visitation on January 3, 1998, God has begun the process of cleansing His domain (Jeremiah 10:18). The "sound of the report" (10:22) and "the sins of the people are tumultuous in his ears." (Refer to the underlined summary report of the Holy Spirit at the end of His visitation with Jeannette.)

Exhortation from a grieved Father

The Lord has encouragement for those who have participated in this "commotion" (verse 22). He is exhorting His people to strengthen the hands and knees which have become weakened by moving away from the "old ways." He is coming with vengeance to set things aright. However, He will come and save those who repent of this evil.

Malachi 2:17
17 Ye have wearied the LORD with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied him? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of the LORD, and he delighteth in them; or, Where is the God of judgment?(KJV)

Let us not weary God by declaring that since judgment hasn't come, He must approve of what we re doing. When we say that drunkenness is a sign of the Holy Spirit's manifestation, I think we are saying that an evil behavior is O.K. since it is being attributed to God, the Holy Spirit. Scripture never condones drunkenness. Notwithstanding the Acts 2:15 passage where people are assuming these believers were drunk. The scripture very clearly says that they were not drunk as they had supposed. This is what happens when we twist scriptures to make them say what we want them to say. In fact, God sends spiritual drunkenness as a judgment, not a blessing:

Jeremiah 13:13-14

13 Then shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will fill all the inhabitants of this land, even the kings that sit upon David's throne, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, with drunkenness.

14 And I will dash them one against another, even the fathers and the sons together, saith the LORD: I will not pity, nor spare, nor have mercy, but destroy them. (KJV)

And again:

Isaiah 29:9-10

9 Stay yourselves, and wonder; cry ye out, and cry: they are drunken, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink.

10 For the LORD hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he covered.(KJV)

Let us hasten to consecrate ourselves to purity so that we will not be left behind when the rapture occurs. I pray that the Lord will have mercy upon His church and cleanse it with the purifying water of the Word.

1 As the Lord was quoting the scripture in Jeremiah 10:21, He spoke the word "are" and "have" almost simultaneously. I heard both words, the word "have" came after "are." (become)

2 The word "they" is referring to the people in Exodus 32:23, a subsequent verse of the passage the Lord had me turn to in the visitation which explains why the people were making the "noise" which was grieving the Lord . (knew)

3 Jeannette frequently is given the scriptures related to the prophetic visitation. This is important for people who desire that the supernatural revelation align with scripture. (that)

4 We believe that there are some people who have been genuinely blessed and/or healed through supernatural means. We are not condemning true moves of God. We are merely reporting what the Lord has revealed to Jeannette in visions. In so doing we must let the ledger stand exposed. History discloses the fact that past revivals have begun with a fresh move of the Holy Spirit, but quickly become infiltrated with demonic spirits that like to masquerade as the Holy Spirit. The Bible says Satan (and his demons) come as angels of light (II Corinthians 11:14) and through sorcery deceive the simple. Did not the Egyptian false prophets' rods become serpents like that of Moses (Exodus 7:10-12)? The problem lies in not being schooled enough in Bible doctrine to discern when evil spirits are manifesting instead of the Holy Spirit. When Scripture is demoted from its primary position of arbiter of events, when experience becomes truth, and when blessing-seekers are told to yield and not analyze, we have dismantled the ability to judge righteous judgments as Jesus taught because there is no benchmark from which to discern right from wrong. Without the Scriptures to give light in this dark world we are at the mercy (perhaps fury?) of every wind that blows. We can only report the revelations which have been received and which we believe are from the Lord. It is the readers' responsibility to check them against scripture which we have done to see whether these things be so. (The)

5 The word "bruit" means "to spread news of", hence, a "report" or "announcement". It also means "clamor" or "commotion". In Exodus 32:18 Moses announced to Joshua on the way down the mountain that the noise they were hearing in the camp of the Israelites was not that of a people fighting, but rather that of people who were playing. Thus the reason for the title of the vision as "Noise of the Bruit" and not "Noise of the Brute". The Holy Spirit gives Jeannette her titles for the visions as she records them in her journal. In this case she did not understand the significance of the word "bruit" until it was pointed out to her. By the same token I thought she had misspelled the word and was going to correct it to "brute" when she said that I couldn't because it was the title the Holy Spirit had given to her. After studying the scriptures which the Spirit gave her, it became clear as to why He wanted the title as it is given. Be a Berean and read the passages for yourself and see what the Spirit has to say about what is going on in some parts of the churchworld today. (There)
