The Black Horse

We have noted that the white horse activates tribulational woes because of deception whether it be outside the church with the rise of the AC or within the church as a result of God's displeasure about its slide from holiness into a greater association with the world. Jesus recorded His displeasure with the endtime Laodicean church in the book of Revelation [3:14-22]. And Jesus' half-brother, James, boldly declares the problem of worldliness:

  James 4:4
4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

Considering that the red horse begins the process of suffering and heart ache, the next step in bringing justice to man's sinful condition is allowing the black horse to fulfill its call. On October 7, 2008 this horse appeared bringing with him a devastating economic crisis and famine to the world. As institution after institution collapsed, the financial markets of the cosmos melted down.

Ever since the fall of the world markets, heads of states have desperately tried to prop them up with artificial stimuli. It is only a matter of time until a second more disastrous meltdown will end the temporary uptick of the markets. Even though there is a hint of recovery in the USA, the significant rise from 20 plus million to 43,000,000 people using food stamps as a result of joblessness indicates that people are hurting. What must third world countries be enduring?

It is not necessary to detail the suffering of people without jobs. All one needs do is look on the Internet and read the headlines to see how severe and deep the economic trauma is in individual nations. Bankruptcy looms on the minds of even first world countries, and famine is already in progress in others. It was a jobless Tunisian who had lost hope of recovering from his predicament of not finding food or work and a means of surviving that started the revolutionary wars in the Middle East. This man committed suicide by setting himself on fire, which typifies the worldwide suffering and despair brought about by economic woes of the black horse.

The Pale Horse

We have already catalogued how the last pale horse of the four horsemen emerged and brought with him swift destruction and death to the Middle East, Japan, and the USA in a short three month period. The conflagration in the Middle Eastern region continues and daily threatens to flare up into WW3. It remains to be seen where Death will stalk its next victim.

The purpose of reviewing the mission of these four horses is to set the stage for the interpretation of the two prophetic visitations Jeannette had. Indeed, without understanding the crisis that the world is in, the visions would not be fully understood. The vision of a Cabin in the Sun is God mercifully alluring His people to repent and make ready for rapture. And Tidal Wave shows what happens after visiting the Cabin in the Sun.

Cabin In The Sun & Tidal Wave

If in fact the four horsemen of the Apocalypse are currently administering their assignments for God, we have the reason for the trek of people to the secluded cabin in the mountain. They are concerned about not making the rapture. Considering that people are alarmed about the world situation, and considering that they are genuinely apprehensive about being left behind when the rapture occurs, we have the reason for the migration of people to the mountainside. Now you know why it was necessary to give a somewhat lengthy though sketchy background explaining the significance of the Apocalyptic horses. Their mission of expressing God's judgment on sin directly impinges on what follows in the interpretation.

The cabin exemplifies a sanctuary to which people resort in order to seek asylum from a deplorable state of world affairs. That is why it is high up in the mountains and secluded. The people hiking up the mountain represent those who have ears to hear and are hearkening to the voice of the Lord to prepare for the coming of the Messiah. They have heeded the sign seen on an MSNBC newscast that the angel of Death has been released. These people are worried, and do not want to be left behind after the rapture. Consequently, they have chosen to get ready for departure by visiting the isolated cabin, the only place of refuge and protection from the proliferating privation and hardships resulting from the release of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse.

What is it that the people in the vision are desiring to be protected from? I submit that it is protection from molestation during the tribulational anguish and torment. People who have read the Bible and especially the book of Revelation know that the wrath of God will be severe when He foments His indignation against rebellious sinners. And the only way to escape coming judgment is to be found holy and purged from worldly pursuits. Are you among this wise group of believers who are preparing for rapture through repentance and strict holiness to the Lord? I unapologetically tell you that this most important event of the ages, the wedding of God's Son, will impact the earth IRRETRIEVABLY.

Peace and Rest Follows Obedience

The vision's setting conveys an aura of peace and rest as it oozes with an heavenly ambiance. The mountainside's celestial air filled Jeannette with a "sweet smell of flowers" as the aroma of pine mingled with ripened wheat fields dancing in the mountain breezes. Everything felt fresh to her and exuded cleanliness as the pine needles sparkled in the sunlight.

From Jeannette's account, the cabin itself appears immaculate and stately with its huge, well-hewn logs that implied whoever enters its portals would need to be impeccably clean themselves. This is why Jeannette is seen sweeping the porch. She is making sure the outside of the cabin which is her responsibility is as clean as she can get it before entering inside where God, the consuming fire, dwells [Deuteronomy 4:24].
"any one who has elected to sanctify themselves to holiness"
  Deuteronomy 9:3
3 Understand therefore this day, that the Lord thy God is he which goeth over before thee; as a consuming fire he shall destroy them, and he shall bring them down before thy face: so shalt thou drive them out, and destroy them quickly, as the Lord hath said unto thee.
  Hebrews 12:29
29 For our God is a consuming fire.

In the vision, Jeannette represents any person who has elected to sanctify themselves to holiness by separation from sin and idolatry, i.e., covetousness and union with the world. The church has been too casual with her user-friendly church doctrines that compromises purity and holiness. Being God's children, we have a mandate to be holy for God is holy, to reverence our Father-God, and to denounce false doctrine as Paul wrote in both his letters to Timothy. Paul said that we must examine the doctrines men preach and hold fast to those that are sound. This is the same advice that Jeremiah gave to God's people in his day:

  Jeremiah 6:16
16 Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

In refusing to walk therein, God judged them:

  Jeremiah 6:19
19 Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words, nor to my law, but rejected it.

Is refusing to walk in God's ways the reason the Apocalyptic judgments are upon us? How do we find the good way wherein is rest? We find it by judging the doctrines of men. ...(T)he ear trieth words, as the mouth tasteth meat [Job 34:3]. Judging doctrine is different from judging people which we ought not do because we are not able to see men's hearts. We test what people say against the Word of God, and if what men say differs from the Word, stay with the Word and let God judge the speakers, for the Word will still be here when men and their speculations are long gone.

Inside The Cabin

"The flaming cross inside the cabin"

The flaming cross inside the cabin denotes it is a place of repentance where people die to themselves. Fire burns away dross in a substance making it pure. Upon entering the cabin, we see Jeannette totally consumed by the flames of the cross depicting crucifixion of her flesh on the brazen altar (the cross is a sacrificial altar) where impure thoughts, subscriptions to sin, and bad attitudes are reduced to ashes.

On the brazen altar, sacrifices were made in the Old Testament to cover sin. They pointed to the one time burnt offering of Jesus for our sins and iniquities. Jesus went into the flames of hell for us as He sacrificially offered Himself to the fires on our behalf. He died a real death in going into hell in substitution for any sinner who will accept His work on the cross.

The message of this vision of the Cabin in the Sun is that our heavenly Father wants us clean for our wedding. He wants us to crucify our flesh in preparation for it. He wants us sanctified, spotless, without wrinkle, or blemish [Ephesian 5:26,27], for Jesus is coming back for a mature, purified, chaste Bride, not a complacent immature Christian stunted in spiritual growth. Here is how Paul put it:

  Hebrews 5:11-14
11 Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing.
12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
How do we change our spots?
How do we change our spots? By jumping into the water of the Word, which the Tidal Wave portrays and learning what constitutes godliness and holiness. Can you see that the water of the Word of God, which is Jesus, corresponds to the flames of the cross which is Jesus too? Both the wave and the consuming fire are one and the same.

The Tidal Wave vision following closely on the heels of the Cabin in the Sun indicates that the wave has begun its upward pull of purified virgins destined for rapture. Oh how close we are to departure! The hoofbeats of the four horsemen attest to it, and there is no time to waste in seeking chastity.

Yes, the swelling wave signifies that people caught in it are being sucked up far away from the murky waters of this world. It means our Father-God is protecting those of us who have chosen to separate from the world. That's why the black horse was told not to hurt the oil and the wine. Dear reader, the Bride is God's precious watered garden [Isaiah 58:11], the oil and wine of His vineyard. Reason precludes that the Lord would protect rich secularists and haughty aristocrats who have no inclination to serve Him. In the tribulation when we are gone, they will be just as vulnerable to natural disasters and calamities as poor people. So the oil and the wine represents God's people prior to rapture.

Separation might mean loneliness now for the chosen ones who are few, but in the end it will be worth it. Churches bobbing in the foam and radiant people playing in the cool, refreshing surf water that Jeannette saw represent the outcome of being obedient in submitting to the hot flaming fires of purging. To rejoice in the surf's wave and stay out of the undertow of the world, believers must pass through the Cabin in the Sun. Having submitted to purification in the privacy of one's heart, and having been pardoned of backsliding and spiritual complacency in the fires of holiness, people can relax and enjoy themselves as they wait for the Lord to come get them.

It is when we reverence God in the privacy of our closet, in the secret place of His love and protection that we truly come to know Jesus and our Father. The inside of the cabin is a picture of the inner chambers of our heart, the place where we meet God. We will never get to know Him by consorting with people who lay bare their constant contact with compromise. That is why the Holy Spirit is calling us to get off to ourselves. He wants to show us things to come [John 16:13], especially the impending wedding day of Jesus.

Like Elijah who had to go to the mountaintop in Sinai alone to find God's strength to finish his calling, and like Jesus who had to go to the mountaintops (the transfiguration and Gethsemane) to find strength to finish His work, we too must go in solitude to our hiding place to obtain power to stay the course during these perplexing times. It does not have to be on a mountaintop. The Bible calls it a closet, and indeed it might have to be one.
