His Voice: It is Written

Without doubt, this vision is a sober warning to the body of Christ to brace for global disaster. How does one brace for something as devastating as a sizable meteor, bolide, or asteroid entering earth's atmosphere? I submit that the only way to brace for catastrophes of the magnitude prophesied in the book of Revelation is "…to prepare to meet thy God!" "…Because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel" [Amos 4:12]. The prophet Amos delivered God's warning to the assembly of Israel who were about to be judged along with the surrounding nations. The prophetic oracle you are reading, is now similarly delivered to the body of Christ as a warning to prepare for a judgment that will encompass the whole world.

The King is Coming!

In the prophet Amos' day, the Israelites experienced God's wrath kindled but a little bit. They miserably failed to fulfill their gloriously appointed destiny.

  Deuteronomy 26:18-19
18 And the LORD hath avouched thee this day to be his peculiar people, as he hath promised thee…
19 And to make thee high above all nations which he hath made…that thou mayest be an holy people unto the LORD thy God…
  Leviticus 10:10
  10 …that ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean;

Because of their addiction to spiritual harlotry and their stubbornness in refusing to put a difference between them and the surrounding nations, in infamy, God judged in 721 b.c.e. the northern portion of the house of Israel first, then the southern portion in 586 b.c.e. Amos prophesied that many neighboring nations would also be affected since anyone standing near a disciplinary whip oftentimes gets lashed too. God could not judge the whole world at that time because the Savior of humanity had not come and ransomed men. His "stiff-necked," rebellious people called by His name who had been chosen to represent Him as a holy and righteous God, repeatedly failed to heed His warning that He would dishonor them by permitting their ignominious destruction if they did not put away their iniquity. History notes that when God removes His hedge of protection from the evil one who presently rules earth, it is a short cut into enslavement and oblivion. Amos' prophetic book carries the weight of a dual prophecy of severe judgment by the hand of God on rebelliousness and sin. The near view involved Israel while the far view circumscribes the whole world.

Paul explains in his letter to the Romans that through Israel's failure, salvation would come to the Gentiles [chapters 10, & 11]. The prophet Isaiah anticipated this situation:

  Isaiah 49:6
6 And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.

It is easy for God to bring a Savior for only one small nation, and it stands to reason He would ransom His chosen select few, but who would have thought in Isaiah's day He would redeem all of humanity?

The near view in Amos's prophecy addressed disaster brought about by the neighboring Assyrian army posturing as God's "…rod of anger" to discipline His people in 721 b.c.e. God said, "the staff in their hand is mine indignation" [Isaiah 10:5]. It is a prophetic type of judgment that will envelope the entire earth in the Day of the Lord at the climax of the times of the Gentiles. In the far view of coming judgment, according to the book of Revelation, men empowered by evil demonic beings will dispense God's anger, and in one sense, they flaunt the wrath of satan. Satan's fury is against humanity for being the agent of his incarceration in eternity. Holy angels, however, pour out the overflowing bowls of God's wrath, which immediately precedes Jesus Christ's return to claim His purchased possession, Earth. Although men can cause chaos and devastations through nuclear warfare comparable to stellar explosions, only God can strategically manipulate heavenly events that accomplish His will and satisfy His hate of sin. He alone is able to control gravitational effects among celestial bodies in order to fulfill his prophetic Word.

For 250 years or so, from the days of Solomon who introduced idolatry by building strange temples to the gods of his heathen wives right next door to God's holy temple, to 721 b.c.e., God pleaded with Israel to return to Him. He sent prophet after prophet to warn them, but they would not listen. God is long-suffering and unreasonably patient waiting for people to repent, to turn to Him and live forever. In fact, this aspect of His essence is His glory. When Moses requested that God show him His glory, all of God's goodness passed before Moses while he was on the mount. His goodness is His glory, the heavyweight of His being, and the strongest aspect of His character. 'Heavyweight' is the lexical meaning of the word 'glory', and thus He proclaimed: "…The Lord God, merciful and gracious, long-suffering and abundant in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity, and transgression and sin, but who will by no means clear the guilty…" [Exodus 34:6]. Heavyweight conjures the thought of the heaviest aspect of something like in the divisions given in prizefighting. God's mercy, grace, and goodness are His greatest feature, for the heart of God is love and mercy, the very core of His being.

Why did God add the appendage to the proclamation of his goodness that He would not clear the guilty? How can love condemn? His Word is on the line and thus His integrity. If the guilty were not condemned, He would be a liar. But if His promise that the wages of sin is death was fulfilled, then He would be free to let love pass down from heaven to as many as would choose to join in with the justified payment of sin in a kind of class action legal law suit. "Whosoever" means anyone may join in the joint class-action venture of salvation. "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" [Romans 10:13]. Again, in Revelation 22:17, "…let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely." God is free to save anyone now because His Son Jesus has accomplished the payment of the sin penalty and vindicated His Word. Jesus' death was a sacrificial substitute for man exonerating His Father's integrity and holiness.

In the days of Isaiah and Jeremiah, did not God demonstrate His glory, His long-sufferingness and patience, while waiting for the children of Israel to repent those many years before judging them? Is He not doing as much today? Even though Israel at that time refused to repent, God's overwhelming mercy and grace did much more abound, to use a Pauline term, outshining their sinful obstinacy by unilaterally promising to "…raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches of it…and…raise up his ruins and…build it as in the days of old" [Amos 9:11]. In other words, He would not utterly permit the total demise of His people. He would save them from annihilation for His name's sake protecting His covenant with Abraham [Ezekiel 36:32].

Being God and sovereign, God cannot lie. History indeed shows that the counsels and declarations of God happen. We are on the verge of seeing a multifaceted fruition of Biblical prophecy. Even today, we are watching the tabernacle of David being raised up, and are witnessing an escalation in the fulfillment of many divine decrees. Witness the Middle East. It is estimated that seven out of eight Old Testament prophecies relate to Jesus' second coming. The accomplishment of promised prophecies dwarfs any blockbuster Hollywood can offer. Get into the Bible and check out the coming attractions. You will be amazed at what is in store for you as a believer in Jesus as well as what is in store for an unbeliever. The scary possibility of a meteor coming to visit planet earth is merely confirmation of that which has already been written in Scripture related to His return. Nevertheless, along with it, He has sent us hope to persevere and not fear, because Jesus is still in control of all things and has promised to snatch out His beloved bride before all hell breaks loose. There never has been a time when God has not been in control of all things even though rampant evil makes it seem like He has taken a holiday. I exhort you to be a Berean and wash any sin-soiled shirts by searching out the Scriptures daily [Acts 17:11].

A Day of Hiding

It is Written

"(a) prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself, but the simple pass on, and are punished" [Proverbs 27:12].

Are you hidden in the Lord? Jewish people have a custom of reciting Psalm 27 each day of the last month of their calendar, Elul, before Tishri 1, the first month, which begins their new civil year called Rosh HaShanah. This day occurs in September or October of the Gregorian calendar and is known as the Feast of Trumpets in Scripture. This is the day of blowing of trumpets and that is all God required in His Word tofulfill its function as a milestone in the complex of His seven feasts. There must be a reason for trumpet blowing. Rosh HaShanah is referred to in the Torah as Yom Teruah known as the Day of the Awakening Blast as well as the Day of the Sounding of the Shofar. Jewish orthodoxy teaches it is imperative that each person hears the shofar (a ram's horn) when it is blown because if you do not, you will find yourself in the ten Days of Awe immediately following the Feast of Trumpets. The reason they recite Psalm 27 is because of verse five. "…(I)n the time of trouble (God) shall hide me in his pavilion; in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me…" Traditional Jews seek to be hidden on this 'Day of Hiding' otherwise known as the Feast of Trumpets, because custom has it that the Feast of Trumpets, trumpets the Lord's return at which time He comes as King to claim His bride and judge the world. This day is also known as 'Yom HaDin' or Day of Judgment. These customs are inferred from passages of Scripture where "it is written…": "With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the Lord, the King" [Psalms 98:6], and "Blessed are the people that know the joyful sound (the awakening blast of the shofar horn on the Feast of Trumpets)…" [Psalms 89:15].

Jewish people who believe and follow the Tanach (the Old Testament) do not want to be around when the Day of Judgment arrives. It is called more often in the Bible the Day of the Lord, the day in which the Lord's wrath is poured out on a wicked world. Jews believe that this day begins of the 'Days of Awe', the ten days between the Feast of Trumpets and the Day of Atonement at which time God judges who qualifies for heaven. This period is also known in Jewish custom as the tribulation, the 'Time of Jacob's Trouble'.

Jeremiah 30:7

Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.

Jewish custom has it that on the Feast of Trumpets the gates of heaven are opened for people who have repented prior to its arrival date. For this reason, conventional Jews spend the whole month of Elul prior to Tishri 1 repenting of the past year's wrongs. The idea is that if they are truly repentant, that is, if they repent enough, they will be counted worthy to enter the gates of heaven on Rosh Hashanah and not have to go through the 'Days of Awe.' If they find themselves in the awesome days, they realize that there is only a marginal chance to repent enough to be forgiven and make it through the holocaust to enter heaven on the Day of Atonement when the gates of heaven are shut forever. They seek to hear the shofar blast and enter heaven on the Feast of Trumpets in advance of the Day of Atonement. True repentance opens the gates to a person and a false one closes them. The Jews have a saying, "Repent lest you find yourself in the Days of Awe." The inference is that to find yourself in the Days of Awe means that you really did not repent and are in a most awesome and frightening period, the terrible days of God's wrath upon a rebellious sin-sick world with little hope of making it through the time of Jacob's trouble and into heaven.

Christians might take heed to this long-standing Jewish custom and get ready to meet God. The significance of the Jewish custom is not to wait until the Feast of trumpets to get right with God. And indeed that is what this whole website is about. The messages on it are warnings for people to get ready for the coming of Jesus. The whole conceptual pattern of the seven Feasts of Jehovah (not the Jews [Leviticus 23:2,4]) presupposes that the King of heaven and earth will return on the Feast of Trumpets to begin the process of taking authority away from satan. He judges the world in stages over a seven year period before starting His reign of a thousand years. The Spirit has revealed to me that this vision in which Jesus announced there would be a meteor is a promo of how He intends to accomplish judgment.

Are we setting a date for Jesus' return? No, because we do not know which Feast of Trumpets it will be nor which day of the two-day festival He will blow the right ram's horn specifically named 'The Last Trump' [1 Corinthians 15:52]. This trumpet blast will call home His bride and announce the beginning of judgmental sorrows for those left behind. Furthermore, Jesus Himself blows this horn, not an angel. "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trump of God (named 'The Last Trump' in 1 Corinthians 15:52); and the dead in Christ shall rise first; Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air; and so shall we ever be with the Lord" [I Thessalonians 4:16,17]. What a blessing but what a curse! This double-purposed blowing of a trumpet will call the righteous home but it will also signal warfare for the unrighteous.

Hear Zephaniah as he foretells of a 'Day of Hiding' while issuing a call for everyone to repent and seek the Lord.

  Zephaniah 2:1-3
  1 Gather yourselves together, yea, gather together, O nation not desired;
2 Before the decree bring forth, before the day pass as the chaff,
before the fierce anger of the LORD come upon you, before the day of the LORD's anger come upon you.
3 Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be HID in the day of the LORD's anger.

Isaiah also speaks of a hidden day:

   Isaiah 26:20-21
20  Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: HIDE thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation (God's wrath) be overpast. (Why?)
21 For, behold, the LORD cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity (i.e., to judge the world): the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.

At the risk of being accused alarmists, we here at White Stones Ministries must speak when God so declares. "It is written…", "The lion hath roared; who will not fear? The Lord God hath spoken; who can but prophesy" [Amos 3:8]? The current vision is an uncomplicated and straightforward message (although there are hidden communiqués within) that the great tribulation will be visited with a meteor event. How long will it be before it appears? Where will the meteor strike? Our Lord did not reveal the answers to these questions, but we know that "it is written…" in the counsels of God that a cataclysmic event will end the age of the Church [Revelation 16].

  Malachi 4:1-2
1 For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. KJV 1
  Isaiah 24:1-3
1  Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof.
2 And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the lender, so with the borrower; as with the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him.
3 The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken this word.

This vision is an acute awareness to stay alert, watching for the return of our Lord. We can see from the above that God has spoken and because He is not a respecter of persons, all people, rich and poor, the powerful and the weak are going to participate in this coming Day of the Lord's judgment upon earth as He judges in righteousness. Jesus said that men's hearts would fail them for fear because the powers of the heavens shall be shaken, because of the multiplicity of the plagues that are to come [Luke 21:26]. One plague will follow another in apocalyptic domino fashion as the four horsemen follow each other bringing one devastation after another. This is what a meteor event portends. It will be a time similar to the Exodus when God visited mankind with a heavenly event 2 whereby God's mighty power became known all over the world through the ten great plagues precipitating the Jews' deliverance. Nevertheless, prepared believers will receive this prophetic message with joy because it means that Jesus is about to come get His bride and sweep her up out of harms' way. Don't you want to be in on it? Get saved then! It means we will be going home. We will finally get to be with our beloved Savior for whom we have eagerly awaited and with whom believers will share in the riches of His glory forever. Yet, like General MacArthur when forced to leave the Philippian Islands because they had fallen into the hands of the enemy - "we shall return!"
