27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
28 For wheresoever the carcass is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
In the above Scripture, Jesus stated in verse 27 that His coming would be as the lightning – sudden, swift, and with surprise. Doesn't that match the modus operandi of a thief? Given that Jesus' coming is mysterious, Jesus further mystified His coming with the cryptic statement that wherever the carcass is, the eagles will gather. Have you ever wondered what on earth He was talking about? I have.
is a parallel passage in Luke which helps to explain this one:
Notice that Jesus was asked a question related to something He had just said. Let's see what it was:
The disciples wanted to know where the people went who were taken away. Jesus' answer was a veiled statement concerning the rapture. He said that a division was coming whereby people who were intimately connected with each other would be separated in a matter of moments. This separation would encircle the globe for He talked about how some would be sleeping on one side of the planet while others worked on the other side.
Paul labeled this separating event as a "snatching away" of believers off earth just before the Antichrist is revealed [1 Thessalonians 4:17]. Both Jesus and Paul were speaking of the same thing because the lightning of Matthew 24:27 is metaphorically similar to the descriptive event that Paul teaches about when believers are changed from corruption to incorruption in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye [1 Corinthians 15:52].
In both Matthew and Luke, the text says that mighty birds of prey, called eagles in the King James Bible and vultures or buzzards in most other translations, feed on the body of something dead. The suggestion is that after the true church is gone to heaven, the corporate church left on earth constitutes a dead body. Do not the verses about lightning immediately preceding Matthew 24:28 and about a catching away of people in Luke 17:34-36 confirm that the rapture is what Jesus was referring to in both gospels? Given this, the rapture must have something to do with the dead body or carcass that's left.
Obviously, what was taken away left something dead. The Holy Spirit showed me that the carcass or dead body is prophetic of the dead Laodicean church which Jesus spews out of His mouth when He comes for His body of believers. Laodiceans are not hot nor cold, but lukewarm [Revelation 3:16], and this clearly disgusts Jesus.
Jesus comes for people who are expecting Him, who ardently love Him, and who because of an intense desire to see Him have made thorough preparation through repentance toward godliness as in John the Baptist's day before Jesus' First Advent. Jesus said that for anyone who would receive it, John was Elijah who was to come [Matthew 11:14].
Elijah's role has ever been to prepare people for holiness. In his own day, it was to avoid disciplinary action that would take away Israel's status as a kingdom. In John the Baptist's day when Jesus made reference to John as Elijah who was to come [Matthew 11:14], it was to prepare the way for the King Messiah's appearance at His First Advent. In the future tribulation period it will be to prepare the way for the King's Second Advent at which time He will restore Israel as a monarchy for His rule.
Many Christians, however, have not studied the Word, are not expecting Him, and hence are unprepared. It is not for me to judge who is ready and who is not. But, I do believe that the Holy Spirit will assist anyone wanting to know what to do to become ready. If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God… [John 17:17].
The Bible teaches that humans are soulish spirits living in physical bodies. When a soul/spirit leaves a body, it becomes a dead corpse without life. The departing soul/spirit goes to the place to which it is connected at the point of death, and the body returns to dust. If the spirit has been regenerated, being connected to heaven by a vital union with the source of life, it will ascend to heaven. If not, it will descend to hell because that is the connection of all sinful unregenerate spirits at physical death.
When Jesus, Who is the head, comes for His body at the rapture, the reborn children of God who have been baptized into Christ's body [Galatians 3:27] will go with the Head of the body to heaven. We are all children of God by faith in Christ Jesus [Galatians 3:26]. This Scripture verse shows that regenerated people have a relationship with God as family members. This is a vital union of spiritual Zoe/Eternal Life and is not dependent upon psychological activity or physical behaviors associated with ritual or liturgy. Hence, real Christianity is not a religion; it's a relationship. Even the Mosaic Law could not produce eternal life and is why Nicodemus and the rich young ruler both of whom rigorously kept the law were asking Jesus how to obtain it.
According to Matthew 24:27 and Luke 17:37, Jesus seems to be saying that the remaining unraptured Christians will comprise a dead church of religious people. Some of them will frantically search for oil as did the five foolish virgins in order to attempt to get raptured out of here. But when they return and call upon Jesus, He will tell them, I know you not and will refuse to open the door to the marriage going on in heaven [Matthew 25:8-12]. Why? Because they were not eager enough to make preparations beforehand to be absolutely ready at whatever time the Bridegroom returns. They were not "sold out" to the Word of God.
church will become a dwelling place for the leaders (eagles or vultures)
of the newly United Religions of the world. They come and nest with
her for a short time. Revelation 17:16 tells us that the Antichrist
and his minions will hate her and burn her with fire when he sets
himself up to be worshipped as god. You don't want to be here after
Noah entered the Ark for safety before the flood, before God's judgment of earth. So, how could Jesus' analogy of "surprised by a thief" apply to the end of the tribulational period when people have been undergoing extremely stressful conditions for at least 42 months? [Revelation 13:14] During those last months things will progressively get worse, and it will certainly not be things as usual because catastrophic events, plagues, and death will abound.
Scripture informs us that the appearance of the Son of Man at the end of the tribulation will not be sudden and unexpected; for the Antichrist, who is indwelt by satan himself at this moment in time, will have assembled a huge army in the Valley of Megiddo in advance of Jesus' appointed appearance. Satan can read and hence knows that Jesus is planning to return at the conclusion of 42 months, and he will attempt to prevent Him from setting foot on earth to claim it. But the back of the Book reveals that he will fail.
Furthermore, since the entire seven year period spoken of by the prophet Daniel is chronologically detailed in the book of Revelation, once it starts, the element of surprise for earth dwellers regarding Christ and the Antichrist is eliminated.
the believing remnant of Israel will have escaped to the hills of
Jordan when the abomination of desolation is set up at midpoint of
the seven years and will be supernaturally nourished by the angels
of God for 3½ years. Revelation chapter 12 speaks about this
phenomenal, yea supernatural escape of a believing remnant of Jewish
people. It is this remnant of Jews that relates to this vision about
the linen cloths.
Having explained that the body of Christ is snatched away from the tribulational pangs of earth laboring to bring forth the Kingdom of Heaven, the vision Jeannette had is now understandable. The foregoing documentation regarding the disappearance of the body of Christ was to establish that the Church Age is almost over and will indeed be gone when the reviving corpse comes alive.
When the Church is removed, its Age ends, and having begun restoration with the return of the Holy Spirit, God will continue restoring all things like they were before Adam gave away the keys of the creation to the devil. God took a 2,000 year time-out period known as the Age of Grace in which He called out a bride for His Son. In Acts 2:16, Peter told the people, who were mystified by the Holy Spirit's descent on believers who spoke in native tongues discernable to many of them visiting in Jerusalem at the Feast of Pentecost, that this manifestation they were witnessing was prophesied by the prophet Joel and was the beginning of the restitution of all things [Acts 3:21]. Hallelujah, the Holy Spirit was back indwelling man and these attendees to the Feast had the privilege of seeing His return.
Peter said that heaven had to receive Jesus back up there after the resurrection until the set time for the complete restoration of God's creation. It would not come about until after the 6,000-year earth lease expired and satan was kicked off earth. Since the fall in the Garden of Eden when the Holy Spirit was recalled to heaven, the world has been on a roller coaster ride where sin and death have predominately prevailed. This ought not be because Jesus has conquered sin, death, and the grave all of which are devilish gear, and He has made available His Zoe life for anyone choosing to serve God. Our Lord did not create the world for death, for satan and his baggage. No, He made all things beautiful and very good for His family to enjoy.
The recall of the indwelling Holy Spirit when Adam and Eve sinned, left them without the power needed to properly control the creation. For 4,000 years man was under the dominion of satan, and God had to look on His creation with longing eyes eagerly yearning to rectify things. But He is a God of law and order and the lease He gave Adam was in the hands of an outlaw. If He revoked it, He would be a law-breaker like satan.
In love, God made plans to restore things to their original state legally. He was not going to let a fugitive created angel force Him to abandon the family He wanted to have. So Jesus willingly came to earth and reconciled the world to God by paying the penalty of death [2 Corinthians 5:17-21]. In protecting the integrity of God, Jesus became our Hero and the One and only celebrity of all things for all eternity – the only being worthy of praise and adoration.
The Psalmist tells us that a thousand years in (God's) sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night [Psalms 90:4], and Peter echoes it saying, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day [2 Peter 3:8]. Given that one day equals a thousand years, this Scripture passage in Hosea explains that in the third millennium, Israel would live again. Having lost her status as a nation because of rejecting her Messiah, she has been a vagabond among nations for almost 2,000 years.
The vision Jeannette had is prophetic of what is happening right now with Israel. Very often, Jeannette stands in for certain people or groups of people like some of the Old Testament prophets. Ezekiel had to lay on the ground first on one side and then on the other for a specified number of days each, representative of the nation of Israel in order to symbolically argue God's displeasure with Israel's waywardness. In his required ordeal, God said, …I have appointed thee each day for a year of punishment. So he lay 390 days for the iniquity of the house of Israel, and 40 days for the iniquity of the house of Judah [Ezekiel 4:5,6].
Doing the numbers, someone has discovered that in counting the years that Ezekiel portrayed Israel's abandonment by God for her idolatrous behavior, there would be 2,484 years, 9 months, and 21 days from the time Cyrus released Israel to build the Temple until the reestablishment of Israel as a national entity May 14, 1948. Moreover, there would be 2,484 years, 9 months, and 21 days from the time Darius the Mede gave orders to rebuild the city of Jerusalem to June 7, 1967 when Israel regained Jerusalem during the 6-day war with her neighboring nations 6. What precision! Only God could orchestrate historical events to make His predictions true and the dates exact.
In this vision about the linen cloths, Jeannette laid on a slab in a tomb representing Israel in order to illustrate that God is at work reviving her since her years of spiritual slumber that Ezekiel prophesied is almost over. In a nutshell, Jeannette's vision is a follow-up vision to Ezekiel's to show that God is at work fulfilling His Word in reestablishing Israel as a blessed nation.
Corresponding to the six days of creation when God worked beauty and everything was very good, using the day for a millennium formula of 2 Peter 3:8, six millenniums have transpired since creation during which time men have been at work seeking a way to avoid death and gain eternal life. All the while, satan has worked death behind the scenes with his stratagems to prevent the "Seed of the Woman" from manifesting [Genesis 3:15].
This vision reveals that God is operating to end the devil's work, and as the vision shows, the sinister evil one cannot overcome the powerful force emanating from heaven to restore things. We have entered the 7th millennium, and true to the Sabbath as a type of rest, a thousand years of rest will follow the completion of the Jewish Age.
Israel has one more week of seven years to finish her transgressions against the Holy One and to seal up Daniel's vision prophesying the anointing of Jesus as King [Daniel 9:24]. After that, she shall live in (God's) sight [Hosea 6:2]. This vision is related to Israel's final week for it portrays what is going on during that week. (See Daniel's 70 Week Prophecy on this website that explains how the Age of Israel has been interrupted.)
The last seven years will be the severest years ever for Israel because in this week of years, she will be birthing the Jewish Kingdom Age with great pain. This pain will be worse than her physical birth out of bondage in Egypt to become a nation, and worse than the holocaust of WWII when satan tried to exterminate her as a people. During this time, God will reform Israel and surgically remove the stony heart out of her. That's the purpose of the laser-light energy streaming from heaven onto the dead corpse. He is changing the hearts of His people with laser-like precision and selectivity. Those Jews who refuse God's call will die on the operating table. All the rest will receive a new spirit and glorify God when the Kingdom manifests.
In chapters 36 and 37 of the book of Ezekiel, God had the prophet pen what He planned to do in the distant future with His beloved nation of Israel. Ezekiel was in Babylon at the time of the prophecy, in captivity along with all the other Jews who had just started their long disciplinary journey of 2500+ years. It is clear that in these two chapters He was looking down the corridor of time to today because Israel's bones have truly come together forming a nation once again. Yes indeed, Ezekiel's symbolic bones have put on flesh and the cadaver has become a member of the forum of nations, but she is not spiritually alive yet.
The glistening beautifully embroidered linen cloths covering the body represented the righteousness that will characterize Israel when she comes up off the table. In Scripture linen connotes righteousness [Revelation 19:8]. No longer will Israel be unholy and flirtatiously consort with the world dishonoring her Maker. In giving her a heart transplant, God is carrying out His promise to make a new covenant with her now that she has come to maturity [Hebrews 8:8].
seen that Jeannette's vision is a sequel to Ezekiel's vision of Israel's
dry bones and is a prophetic demonstration of God's laser-like power
to perform His will. He is operating at this very moment to bring
Israel to her prophesied greatness as a nation. But, before she arises
off the operating table, there will be a period of darkness in which
an evil personage will threaten her viability. Restoration of the
dry bones expresses God's work in the last sixty plus years in reanimating
Israel. as a walking dead nation to put it crudely. The corpse on
the slab in the tomb is representative of God at work today infusing
life into national Israel's zombied body.
