Continuation of

Interpretation: Pillar of Heaven

By Lee Y. Martin, Ph.D.

The Church is Asleep While Drifting

In chapter 5, verse 2 quoted above, we find the church asleep. In like manner, were not the ten betrothed virgins sleeping when the midnight call came that the bridegroom was about to arrive to snatch His bride away in the parable of Matthew 25 [5]? Jesus appeals to His bride to open the door in the Song that Solomon wrote, whereas He gave the reason why part of His betrothed church will miss the Rapture in the book of Matthew - no oil, symbolic of having lost the Holy Ghost's power for the maintenance of holiness. The preceding four chapters of the Song of Solomon reveals that the beloved has agreed to betroth the King and has drunk the cup of wine given to her at the signing of the marriage contract. That is why it says above that her "heart waketh," although she sleeps. She is joyfully betrothed to her beloved. The King rejoices over His bride; and, on the surface, it appears as if the church is alive, happy, and all is well.

Not withstanding all is well, for while the church is busily evangelizing and Christianizing the world, she has neglected her "first love" with her "many works". She has run after other lovers in church synthesizing and building programs. Her lamp is about to be snuffed out like the Ephesian's candlestick of Revelation 2:4. Something is wrong. The beloved church, like the Shulamite woman in this Song, lost her sensitivity to the "weightier matters" [Matthew 23:23] and no longer looked for Her beloved with the eager anticipation she once had. The Reconstructionists in white trucks have changed the literal renditions of Bible interpretation to meet their own specifications of how they think it ought to read. They have opened the pillar that God forbid to be opened and have sought to rearrange the silicon chips inside God's Scepter. Too many doctrinal deviations to examine here differ from those coming out of the Reformation's rescue from the Dark Ages, the "dead Sardis church with a name only" [Revelation 3:1].

Knocking on the Door

In chapter 5 the King calls for his betrothed to open up to him. Likewise, Jesus is outside the door calling for His beloved on the inside to open up to Him. "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" [Revelation 3:20]. Yet, the church is not listening. Hear the words of the Spirit: "…(T)hey would not hearken unto their judges, but they went a whoring after other gods, and bowed themselves unto them: they turned quickly out of the way which their fathers walked in…" [Judges 2:17]. "Yet he sent prophets… to bring them again unto the Lord; and they testified against them: but they would not give ear" [2 Chronicles 24:19]. God is doing all He can to awaken the church to her drifting off course. This end time message is testamentary that God loves His people and is giving ample warning to get holy because He does not want to see His children estranged in the Day of the Lord. Our Father is not as concerned with our happiness as He is with our holiness. But, many in the church seem content with their new wine and seem assured that God is doing a new thing today in spite of the fact that there is nothing new under the sun [Ecclesiastes 1:9], that the Word is settled in heaven [Psalm 119:89], that Jesus is seated on the right hand of God [110:1], that He Himself is coming to judge the world in righteousness and uprightness [Psalm 9:8] and that He is awaiting His coronation as King of Kings [Psalm 2].

Hear the response of the church depicted by the Shulamite woman to the warnings of danger ahead:

Song 5:3
3 I have put off my coat; how shall I put it on? I have washed my feet; how shall I defile them?

There is no sense of urgency here to open the door. It's midnight and the church is asleep at the wheel while the ship is drifting off course. In having put off her coat, her traditional, old ways of doing things according to Bible specifications, she has taken off holy garments so as not to offend the world. Wealth and riches has blinded her sensitivity to spiritual things, and she is neglecting her duty to die daily. The appeal to come die at the cross is supplanted by the appeal of self-interests - in part through self-actualization via Christian psychologizing and in part through attaining peace at any cost. It's OK, many say. I'm OK, and your're OK. Those words from the lips of educators, therapists, and religious psychologists help people bypass the cross and ease away from its demand of holiness through denying the flesh. No, it's not OK to fraternize with the world, to imitate its life styles, and be in concert with her tunes.

A reality check with the Bible demands that a Christian forsake the way of the world before it's too late and one meet his maker. The things of the world are carnal, and carnality can never produce holiness. Holiness is produced by means of walking in the spirit, not the flesh. The Spirit of God will never compromise with the world. This answers the bride's question in verse 3: "how shall I put it on (again)?" In brief, the Holy Spirit produces holiness. Without the indwelling ministry of the Holy Spirit, all is for naught. God instructs in His Word that the flesh is not to touch holy things. Holy oil was never to be put upon the flesh. All energy of the flesh will be burned up in the judgment and can only dazzle the material world. Only what is done through us by God's Holy Spirit will pass through the fire unscathed. All else is ashes. Like the pattern at Pentecost, waiting upon God at the altar to hear from Him is the only way to walk by means of the Spirit. And like we saw on the beach in this vision, one must not toy around with God's source of power for it does not belong to us.

Holy Garments

We infer then that the bride has to put on holy garments again in order to rejuvenate her desire for her beloved. Note, however, that she rebels. In her apathy, she calls out that her feet are washed, she is ready for bed, and does not want to defile her feet again. In desiring to prevent her flesh from further defilement, her reluctance to open when her Lord calls is rebellion, which, ironically, defiles her spirit. Likewise, in exchanging new wine for old, the church believes her feet are clean and pure. At least they seem holy to her. She does not want to defile her newly found freedoms from orthodoxy. Yet, it is possible to bite into fruit that looks good on the outside, but on the inside, it is rotten at the core. Only God is able to judge men's hearts. We must test fruit by the Word of God. We must follow the Word and not people. Scintillating personalities have persuasive ability that blinds the minds of the unlearned and newly born. "Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey; and the Lord saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment" [Isaiah 59:15]. Right judgment can only come through meditating on the Word of God. Many desire "to depart from evil" but often make themselves victims of false teaching abounding on the world's airwaves. We dare not deviate from Jesus' command to abide in His Word and follow Him to the cross where we will find holiness by dying to self.

Opportunity Knocks But Once

Song 5:4-8

4 My beloved put in his hand by the hole of the door, and my bowels were moved for him.

5 I rose up to open to my beloved; and my hands dropped with myrrh, and my fingers with sweet smelling myrrh, upon the handles of the lock.

6 I opened to my beloved; but my beloved had withdrawn himself, and was gone: my soul failed when he spake: I sought him, but I could not find him; I called him, but he gave me no answer.

7 The watchmen that went about the city found me, they smote me, they wounded me; the keepers of the walls took away my veil from me.

8 I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, if ye find my beloved, that ye tell him, that I am sick of love.

Jesus Knocking on the Door:Free Jesus Christ

This is the sad epitaph of the virgins left behind in Matthew 25 who missed the Rapture.

They had gone asleep and had not prepared themselves for a long wait. Instead of making sure that they were walking in holiness, they carelessly denied that they had no oil - until it was too late. We know from this Song in Solomon's book that Jesus is coming for an undefiled bride not spotted by the world. Are you washed by the blood of the Lamb? Do you desire to associate with the world? The only way to be washed and cleansed is by proof checking everything anyone says by the Bible. The beloved bride in the Song being sung was so close to going up in the Rapture with her beloved - but she missed Him. Had she not rebelled and had her discarded holy garments perpetually on, she could have gone with her lover to His abode until the tribulation called the indignation is over [Isaiah 26:20; Daniel 11:36].

We can infer from the passage that she wanted to find where the Spirit of the Lord who makes holy went, just like the five virgins who had to go out to find some more oil. The Bible tells us where He went. He went to heaven with the bride of Jesus. "When the restrainer is gone" Who is restraining evil [2 Thessalonians 2:6,7], He will remove to heaven everyone ready at the midnight cry so that the cup of iniquity can become full and the earth can receive its judgment. At the trumpet blast [1 Thessalonians 4:16], everyone who has cleansed his vessel will depart with Him to go meet the bridegroom in the air. Christian, guard carefully your holy estate and "redeem…the time for the days are evil" [1 Thessalonians 5:16]. "…Know ye not that …friendship (of) the world is enmity with God" [James 4:4]?

Verses 7 and 8 show us how the remaining church will be treated when she is left without the Spirit of the Lord to accompany her through the dark night of the tribulation. The world will smite her, wound her, and take away her veil. She will be ravished and plundered. It is not going to be a picnic during that period. Jesus said it would be the worst time the world has ever seen. You do not want to be here. Have you prepared yourself to be ready when the bridegroom comes? Have you searched your heart and gotten rid of that sin that doth so easily beset [Hebrews 12:1]? Do you stay washed in the blood walking in love and forgiveness? It isn't easy to maintain holiness. I repeat, The Sermon on the Mount cannot be lived apart from the filling of the Holy Spirit. That is the reason the Holy Spirit was given to us. He was sent to help us develop the character of Jesus. If we listen to our spirits, He will tell us when we do something wrong. He was sent to help us live a holy life, to give us power to resist sin and preach the gospel, and to enable us to quench the fiery darts of the wicked one. The power inside a believer is not to be a means of outward gain; rather He intercedes for us helping us conform to Godliness, which is great gain [Timothy 6:6]. One casualty on the beach thought he could access God's power by tinkering with it to harness it for personal use. The other fiddled around with holy structures and lost his moorings. Both presumed upon God's gracious Holy Spirit with dreadful results. The power exploded in one case and it left with its life in the other.

A theme runs throughout many of these messages on our website. That theme is holiness. Without doubt, the Spirit is doing His best to arouse the church into final preparations for departure in the Rapture, for without holiness, the Scripture says that no man shall see the Lord [Hebrews 12:14]. The Bible teaches that Jesus is coming for a bride that "has made herself ready" [Revelation 19:7,8; 21:2]. This means that all preparation for the believer's adornment as an unblemished and spotless bride is made here on earth. No preparations are done in heaven. Those who procrastinate will not make the Rapture. If you aren't ready, you won't go. Note the five virgins in the parable of the ten virgins who missed it [Matthew 25:1ff]. They must wash their soiled robes in the blood of martyrdom [Revelation 17:6] in order to obtain access to the marriage feast of the Lamb, for no one will get in without a clean wedding garment [Matthew 22:11-14]. That garment is a robe of righteousness provided by the Master of the wedding feast and garnished with the holy activity of the saints. Jesus gives a robe to anyone who believes on Him as his or her Savior [Isaiah 61:10] and who takes Him as his or her Lord. But its embellishment results from active obedience freely offered by a believer to God's commands [Revelation 19:8].

Remember, however, that changing Lordships requires changing kingdoms and is a calculated decision. Everyone must weigh carefully whom he will serve. Lordship means obedience to the demands of one's Lord. "If you love me, (you will) keep my commandments" [John 14:15]. Moving into the kingdom of light entails separation from the world with its offers of pleasures for a season. Moses had to spend forty years in the wilderness after making such a decision. Make no mistake about it, the flesh lusts to keep control of the soul, and there will be a constant battle between the spirit and the flesh until we depart from this earth. Try fasting food for a day or two and you will see what I mean. Thank God, He has given us hope and help.

Acts 1:4
4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, (i.e., the Holy Spirit) which, saith he, ye have heard of me.

Because of the difficulty of bringing the body under subjection, God promised to give to anyone who would take Him as a Father, His very own Holy Spirit to aid in spiritual maturation, the sanctification process by which one becomes holy displaying "Christ (within), the hope of glory" [Colossians 1:27]. The above verse in Acts shows that He is the Father's gift from heaven "Who deliver(s) us from the power of darkness, and translate(s) us into the kingdom of his dear Son" [Colossians 1:12,13].

Holiness is not some newly discovered mandate. It has always been the guiding principle for walking with God. Read the entire book of Leviticus to see how it held center stage in the sacrificial system of the Mosaic Covenant. God wants to fellowship with man, but He had to make a way to cleanse people so He could commune and not consume them with the fire of His holy jealousy. Yes, jealousy. God is not about to let some pitiful, puny little demon posing as a god usurp His glory. Unfortunately, the law made nothing neither holy nor perfect because it could only condemn. Hence, God in His great mercy provided a bridge to cross over the barrier separating sinful men from a holy God. The law and the tabernacle were the vehicles whereby God was able to dwell among men under the Old covenant, while Jesus and the gift of the Holy Spirit are the means under the New Covenant whereby God dwells with men.

The River Splits

This vision has addressed the problem of Christians drifting away from the polestar of the Pentecostal purpose, which purpose was resurrected during the Reformation, rehabilitated, and refined in subsequent years. What was the purpose of Pentecost? It was primarily for power to live an overcoming life requiring higher standards as spelled out in the Sermon on the Mount.

And it was also for power to occupy and seize territory in satan's cosmic system for the purpose of advancing the secret kingdom of God. Therefore, Holy Spirit power was given so that a newly created breed of people inhabiting carnal bodies could overcome the flesh and become transformed into a people who act like God instead of sinners. What we have today is a church that for the most part has a form of godliness but is incapable of displaying God's power.

God's eternal plan has always been to transform many sinners into glory through the foolishness of preaching thereby forming a family with which He can fellowship throughout the ages. By decreeing that salvation would not derive from nor stand in the wisdom of men, He made sure no flesh would glory in His presence. The only way to secure this transformation into glory is by following in the footsteps of Jesus - taking the flesh to the cross and keeping it dead. Anything fleshy is a stench in the nostrils of God because its ultimate end is the disgusting odor of corruption. "Dying thou shalt die" were the literal words of the curse on man after the fall [Genesis 2:17], meaning that in having the life source cut off by separation from God through expulsion from the Garden, man could not get to the tree of life to eat of its fruit and live. His body, consequently, is doomed to die and decay. When the spirit of man dies at the first accountable act of disobedience, his spirit sinks in weakness overcome by the body at which time the body takes control of the soul. At the point of regeneration and the new birth, the spirit awakens a new creature and is optimized by the Holy Spirit to overcome the body's demands. At this point holy warfare breaks out. It is this civil war between the flesh and the spirit [Romans 7:18,19], which needs assistance if men are to reveal the divine nature of their heavenly Father and reflect His glory. God had to give to depraved men a way of overcoming the downward pull of a mortal body. Thus, His Holy Spirit was given to assist men in their struggle with the flesh and to embolden them to witness. This is the purpose of Pentecost

Given that the Spirit is sent to help men prosper in their walk with God, and given that He also aids men in the propagation of the gospel, if we walk by means of the Spirit, listening to His voice in quiet meditative prayer sessions, He will give direction and even manifest Himself via supernatural gifts on occasion. The vision clearly indicates that it is risky to attempt to assume authority over the use of spiritual gifts. Note the men on the beach. Power is primarily given to help born again believers conform to the image of Jesus who Himself was "the express image of His (Father's) person". Reflecting on Jesus through the Word changes us from glory to glory. As we become more like our Master, our lives attune more to following the Father's plans instead of our own agenda. Conformity and submission to the Father's plan and Jesus' authority causes our lights to shine. This is an evolution - to use a pejorative term - a walk in the Spirit called progressive sanctification and it produces holiness. Unfortunately, like physical maturation, spiritual maturation takes time. It cannot be speeded up. If you want a wedding garment with exquisite needlework, I advise you to start now to purge the sin nature. Remember that there are vessels of honor and vessels of dishonor in a great house.

2 Tim 2:20-21
20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

Wouldn't you like to be a vessel of honor?

Jesus judged the Ephesian church as having lost her first love [Revelation 2:4]. I submit it was Holy Ghost power for discernment that was lost. Without discernment, the church quickly departed from sound doctrine. She lost the Holy Spirit power by not yielding to Jesus' pure gospel. Through the misuse of the gifts and with false teachings abounding, the church became confused and lost sight of its polestar. Paul explained thirty years prior to the Revelation of Jesus that the mystery of iniquity was already at work in his time. False shepherds were corrupting his gospel mixing it with an unorthodox gospel of Jesus [Galatians 1:6-9] overthrowing the faith of some [2 Timothy 2:18]. The pure gospel Paul taught was that people could only enter God's holy sanctuary by means of Jesus' sacrifice on the cross [Romans 4:25-5:2]. The New Testament clearly indicates salvation is tied to one's belief in Jesus' work - that He died, was buried, and rose from the grave in a new resurrected tangible body. Belief in His deity and bodily resurrection is vital to achieving heaven and receiving eternal life. "…(I)f thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved" [Romans 10:9]. In Paul's day, there were people who were saying Jesus did not arise bodiy, He was only a phantom. Others demoted Him from diety. We have similar Reconstructionists of this ilk today. Nonetheless, if Jesus is Lord, then He is deity. "If" is that powerful little word used throughout Scripture indicating that people have choices to make. Each person must receive for Himself eternal life and maintain it. Jesus is the gateway to heaven and men will never be able to climb the c. 200-foot walls of the New Jerusalem [Revelation 21:17] to get in some other way [John 10:1].

Since catatonia is the word the Spirit used in the vision, its meaning is important. According to the American Heritage Dictionary Of The English Language, Third Edition, catatonia is "a mental disorder variously characterized by stupor, stereotypy, mania, and either rigidity or extreme flexibility of the limbs." In short, it is an abnormal condition expressed by actions not typical for humans. Have not strange contortions of human behavior been reported at various places including church groups? Since this is a prophetic utterance, I take it that God is not pleased with some of the things happening in some church meetings today. Playing around with God's anointing is serious business

Sadly, apostasy has caused many people, especially educated ones, to fall away from the truth of the gospel message. As has been said, they have reconstructed a new way to Zion, which will dead end on a beach somewhere. One of the catatonic men depicted Reconstructionists who scoff at doctrine as unimportant, divisive, and to be avoided. The other crazed man illustrates what happens to believers who tamper with hidden things. According to the vision, both men were in a stupor on the beach. One spurned the Holy Spirit and blasphemed His work on earth. The other presumed upon Holy Ghost anointing and got burned. Both were alive on the edge of eternity awaiting hell with the waves of vanity washing over them. The implication is that God had finished pleading with them, and they were suspended on the sands of time poised to depart to their eternal destiny where they will have an eternal existence in either heaven or hell. They were not dead because the spirits and souls of men never cease existing. "…(I)t is appointed unto men once to die but after this the judgment" [Hebrews 9:27]. Considering that God answered Jeannette's question about what happened to them by saying "they looked inside the pillar", we can deduce that disobedience to the expressed commandments of God is risky and dangerous. I strongly recommend that everyone have a true Holy Bible, not just a revisionist's paraphrased commentary 9,
and find out what is in it.

The vision infers that drifting away from the church's original mandate of preaching Christ is hazardous. "Experiencing" Christ is not the same as "being" a light for Jesus. Promoting "experiences" pushes the envelope into the world of the unknown and places people at risk of losing out with God. We pray they do not lose salvation. We are not told to go into all the world and help people have experiences. Rather we are told to go preach the gospel. Powerful preaching will be followed by repentance that leads to euphoric experience. Considering that Paul addressed, in his first letter to the Corinthians, their carnality [1 Corinthians 3], and considering that they moved in all the gifts of the Spirit [1:7], I rather believe that the Spirit is warning people not to operate the gifts while in the flesh nor seek them fool-heartedly. For in so doing, mixed messages can cause catatonic "schizophrenic behavior" that might cause a person to lose standing in the heavenly realm. After exalting the Corinthians about their blessings from God, Paul followed hard on the heels of exhorting them to be careful because every person's work will be judiciously judged. He warned that some "…shall suffer loss but he himself shall be saved, yet so as by fire" [3:15]. Furthermore, he gave them instructions in the use of the spiritual gifts in the twelfth to fourteenth chapters, verifying that he was concerned about the danger of wild displays of behavior issuing from the use of spiritual gifts. It is known in some quarters as "wild fire". One insulates himself from spiritual catastrophe by submitting to Jesus' authority. Paul spoke often in his letters about Jesus being the head of the church. If He is, then believers must yield to His teachings penned in Scripture for guidance in walking by means of the spirit.

The Secret of Holiness

We have seen that doctrinal differences are critically important to one not missing out with God. We are not just talking about religious preferences. Everything in the Bible is to be placed in proper perspective for promotion in God's Kingdom. Again, the root of the matter is a power struggle with the flesh. Lusting for what belongs in the control of God is sinful. We saw in the text that seeking power without holiness is the problem. If we are walking in holiness, we will not lust for power. We also saw that it is impossible to attain holiness without the Holy Spirit's help. They are complementary. The Spirit's power produces holiness, and holiness qualifies one to be a vessel, which the Holy Spirit can use in powerful witnessing. We know from Romans 8:26 that the Spirit intercedes for us as we pray because we do not know what is Godly [Romans 8:26]. God wants us to become holy for He said, "…what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness? …Ye are the temple of the living God…Wherefore come out from among them, and BE ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you…And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty" [2 Corinthians 6:16-18]. Can you sense God's pleas for us to separate from the world and start "being" like Jesus?

People wonder why God's power does not work for them. I submit it is because the power source is short-circuited by carnality. How can God act like a Father and give us access to His powerful assets when we walk in the flesh? Until we break with sin and put down the old nature, we will have to watch the spiritual warfare battle from the bench. There are several sin lists in the Bible, Galatians 5:19-21 to name one. Of the seven things listed as abominations to God in Proverbs 6:16-19, three are mental attitude sins, three are sins of the tongue, and only one is overt. Even this one is generally premeditated in the mind. This is perhaps the master list because it gets to the root cause of sin - the motivations of men. God looks on the heart and not the outward appearance. The battlefield for breaking with sin, then, is the mind. Preparation for holiness begins here.

The only person who can help the mind is oneself. Self-activity is the first step. We must hearken to Scripture and renounce what it condemns as sin. The second step is to show gratitude to God for what He has done. This is not just lip service. It is heavily involved with praise. Lastly, we must be obedient to whatever is revealed to us in the Word that pleases God. Folks, we are in the home stretch and there is no time for delay. I am sure there are other things relevant to attaining holiness, but this is a beginning. Our hope is that the reader will be encouraged from this message to make sure he or she is prepared to meet God. Each day is a blessing in which we can make sure all things are ready for our Lord's coming. The closer we get to the time, the narrower the way becomes making spiritual discernment absolutely essential for a holy walk. I pray that God will open our eyes wide and keep us alert and guarded from anything hindering a holy walk with Him. We hope to see you soon - on the way up. What a day that will be. Praise His holy name.

Addendum: Mini-Vision of the Stars
In the middle of a personal prophecy, Jeannette received the following words from the Lord. They were given November 14, 2000 one week after the presidential election of the United States was over and the Battle of the Courts for the White House had begun.

The Stars of Hope

Click here for the "Divine Arm of the Lord!"

As I stood beside Jesus upon the top of a mountain, I was speechless. God said, "Jeannette I want to show you what is to come. Look and behold the earth and your nation upon the earth." As He spoke the words, His hand and His golden forearm of brilliant power parted the clouds of darkness covering the earth. There was an open path between the clouds. "Behold the moment of peace upon your land and the earth." I then saw what looked like stars shinning brightly in my nation and all over the world. First one place and then another in different nations stars began to sparkle. God said, "Jeannette, there will be but a moment of peace before I come and gather those who love me and who are yet to love me. These are the stars you see, those who are born into the Kingdom of my Father." [Underlining mine]

I sensed that the Holy Spirit wanted this prophetic word included here in this vision. I believe that the Spirit sent me purposely to Balaam's prophecy to retrieve the Scepter's meaning hidden within the Pillar of Heaven vision in order to slip this word from the Lord into the interpretation for the comfort and edification of the church at large. Because it was associated with the Star of Jacob, the connection of both titles for Jesus was obvious. At the time I heard the personal prophecy, I had the feeling this part was for the church. The turmoil over the election was disheartening to everyone who has grieved for eight years over the dismantling of America's strength and integrity. This word from the Lord has encouraged me personally and I believe others will also take heart from it. We must diligently press on with the great commission because God has given us a moment of peace to get the bulk of the harvest in. How long we have only God knows.

This mini-vision about the stars of God is addressed to His born again saints who are walking luminaries in imitation of Jesus Christ, the Star of Jacob. Prophecies are given by God to encourage as well as warn. Within the interpretation of the Pillar of Heaven is the warning not to presume upon God's graciousness in the extension of His power to His people; but it also exhorts believers to holiness in preparation to meet our Lord. Holiness is the undercurrent controlling the flow of what surfaced in the interpretation. Without holiness, we will not be ready to meet our God and cannot access His holy power to get the harvest machinery moving. With holiness, we become "stars" illuminating and exposing the darkness around us and can find a "place" before God as we prayerfully intercede for others. In the heavens, we see millions of stars dotting the blackness of the sky, and in like fashion Jeannette saw myriads of stars dotting the earth when God parted the dark clouds, which symbolized evil covering the earth.

God has not lost track of even one star in heaven for He has them all numbered and calls them by name [Psalms 147:4]. Likewise, He has track of every true church member planted among the tares in the visible church. He alone knows whose motivations are pure and who is preparing to meet the redeemer. I believe that the reason He is calling for His people to come out of some churches is to keep them from being caught up in the swirling waters of the flooding river of false doctrine. The river is swollen and it is going to get bigger.

The Holy Spirit showed me there was a connection between the interpretation of the Pillar of Heaven and the underlined phrase in this mini-vision. Becoming aware of the phrase, "golden forearm of brilliant power" that parted the clouds, I knew the interpretation for the Pillar of Heaven, was confirmed. We always seek confirmation that these visions and their interpretations are from the Lord. Jesus' extended "golden forearm" typified the golden scepter of the King of Kings, similar to the scepter of the king, which Queen Esther had to touch before speaking. In parting the clouds, the "golden forearm with brilliant power" also corresponded to the heavens opening up so that the pillar with power residing in it could descend for Jeannette to grab by the head. As she touched it, her face lit up, disclosing a source of power within. This revealed to me the circuitry to close all the loose ends of the puzzle.

It's encouraging to know that Jesus wants us to see what He sees - the many stars scattered over the earth. Elijah would have liked to see a similar vision in his day. Perhaps seeing 7,000 stars representing people dotting the landscape of his nation would have encouraged him not to run, after his confrontation with Jezebel. In this instance, Jesus wants us to know that we are not the only ones in the world desiring for righteousness and truth to come forth and rule. Sometimes we think we are. But He has people everywhere. Do not become disheartened if you cannot find someone else with ears to hear who is seeking like you to remain within the constraints of the Bible and shun worldliness. The closer we get to our destination, the narrower the way becomes, and the less desire people have to continue. Remember the vision entitled The Map and how few people made it across the bridge? Choices for right become mixed up with wrong and it takes greater wisdom and Holy Ghost enlightenment to discern the way. Like Paul, when spiritual growth through sanctification exposes more and more of our actions as defiled and deceitful, holiness compels true luminaries to joyfully count all things as loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus our Lord [Philippians 3:8]. The world has less and less attraction for the true bride.

If you seem reluctant to let go of the world and want to, ask God to put in your heart a yearning for His presence. He responds quickly to our earnest requests for legitimate things, things having eternal value such as walking like Jesus walked. The more we become like Jesus, the less we want of the world, for His kingdom is higher than anything this earth has to offer and its currency is love the value of which is incalculable. One day we will know, even as we are known and our choices will vindicate us whether for right or wrong.

Keep in mind that Jesus has shown us in this mini-vision that we have a moment of space in which to prepare ourselves for His coming. This is a wake-up call to redeem the time because the days are evil and the time is short. I believe He has given us a new regime in Washington and the White House so that He can stay the hand of judgment for a little "moment". This gives believers opportunity to become workers in the harvest of soul gathering. Size and content is not an issue with God. Equity is. God has no favorites. He knows how to count and the mite is just as powerful in His hands as the million-dollar check. Keep your eyes off people and what they do, and focus on Jesus and how you can please Him. As was mentioned in the heart of the interpretation of this work, being is more important than doing. Our Lord is more interested in who we are, than in what we have and can do. Seek God and His holiness and trust Him with all you have. He "will not fail you nor forsake you."

Jesus "will not fail you nor forsake you."
