Interpretation of The Wailing Wall

Lee Y. Martin, Ph.D., 2009

  Psalms 79:1, 4-6
1 O God, the nations have come into Your inheritance; Your holy temple they have defiled; They have laid Jerusalem in heaps (of ruin).
4 …We have become a reproach to our neighbors, A scorn and derision to those who are around us.
5 How long, Lord? Will You be angry forever? Will Your jealousy burn like fire (forever)?
6 Pour out Your wrath on the nations that do not know You, And on the kingdoms that do not call on Your name. NKJV

The Scripture passage above is from the Psalm that the Jewish people read most often when they visit the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem to pray. The entire Psalm is a prayer for supernatural deliverance from Israel's continual state of disenfranchisement by the nations of the world. The next one, Psalm 80, is like unto it.

The Psalm was written most probably during the Babylonian captivity after the Temple had been destroyed, after Jerusalem was made a ruinous heap, and by a discouraged Psalmist who spoke for a disheartened people having little or no hope for a return to their former state of glory under Solomon. It could have been written as an op-ed page in the Jerusalem Post even today.

Unhappily, the whole Psalm seems to be a dirge the lyrics of which are a prophecy beholding the time of Jacob's trouble spoken of in Jeremiah chapter thirty verses one through fifteen. Jacob's trouble will happen during the last week of Daniel's 70 week prophecy 1 which documents the time span of the Jewish Age that leads to the Kingdom Age, also known as the Messianic Age that ends God's decreed plan of rule of men on earth. Jacob's dreadful ordeal is the predicted period which is the antitype about which Psalm 79 is the type. Are we there?

Lest the reader think, like replacement theology asserts, that the Lord God will never hear again His people's pleas for mercy due to the fact that they rejected Jesus as their Messiah King, read the last half of Jeremiah chapter thirty and see for yourself that God promises His elect Israel He will restore them to life. But it will not happen till after Jacob suffers in the furnace of affliction spoken of in the first half of the chapter. He will "bring again" (rescue) the captivity of His inheritance – the land, the people, and the Temple – and will restore health unto them and heal them of their wounds [30:16-24]. So there is hope for the tiny nation of Israel. Hope maketh not ashamed … [Romans 5:5]

Prophet Jeremiah
Jeremiah 32:42, 44
42 For thus saith the Lord; Like as I have brought all this great evil upon this people (Israel), so will I bring upon them all the good that I have promised them.
44 … for I will cause their captivity to return, saith the Lord.

Therefore, they have been only temporarily set aside as God's client nation through whom He speaks to the world.

The Desire of Man

The Lord has shown me that the vision Jeannette was given is a revelation that God has heard the mass of lamentations for help from His people. He has seen the anguished longing for the Messiah to come in the prayers of Israelis who have been supplicating for years, yea even millennia, for a Temple where they can more openly acknowledge their God, who is actually Yeshua Ha Mashiach, the Anointed Savior of Christianity, the Redeemer of the world and the only hope of eternal life and salvation from eternal death [Acts 4:12].

Ever since man reaped death in the Garden of Eden, he has longed for eternal life, which is the reason God sent His Son, Jesus, to earth for He is the Desire of all peoples. What is the desire of all people? Isn't it for eternal life? Wasn't that what the rich young ruler asked of Jesus [Mark 10:17]? Wasn't that the quest of Nicodemus when he approached Jesus in the middle of the night [John 3:1-3]? And isn't that what the Pyramid of Giza known as the Pillar of Enoch is all about?

Before addressing the Pillar of Enoch, let me make the record clear. The Bible tells us that Eternal Life is a person. It is Jesus Christ …the true God and eternal life [1 John 5:20]. It also informs us that we must be born again to partake of It, i.e., Him. Jesus knew Nicodemus was seeking information about life everlasting, for Jesus did not even let him get to ask the question about how to obtain it. Anticipating his question, Jesus immediately cut him off, and declared that we must be born again. Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God [John 3:1-3]. Now about the Great Pyramid's connection to life eternal and this vision.

The Giza Pyramid Connection

The Giza Pyramid Connection

The Great Pyramid of Giza figures prominently in this vision because it is an ageless monument to the hope of eternal life. Monuments are erected so that people will not forget some event in history. They are memorials. Many reputable scholars agree that Enoch built the Great Pyramid as a memorial to God's plan of redemption of mankind. It is a Bible in stone like the zodiac (the Hebrew Massoreth) is a Bible in the stars.

In its structure, God promises an endless life. Given that Enoch was its architect, the monument memorializes Enoch's faith in everlasting life through his supernatural departure from earth whereby he bypassed death. The structure further commemorates God's promise that death will be swallowed up in victory by a future generation that will disappear, bypass death, and be translated into heaven like Enoch. Hence, that generation of firstfruits to eternal life will be mysteriously raptured out of this world.

It is not accidental that the Giza Pyramid is called the Pillar of Enoch. Since Enoch is our Biblical testimony of a rapture the experience of which implements translation to another hypersphere where life is eternal, and since pillars are set up for testimonials, such as the one erected at the Jordan to commemorate crossing the river supernaturally and symbolically entering into heaven, Enoch's Pillar is the connection to the meaning of this vision. It will become apparent as you read.

Accounts are available that document the phenomenal precision of the Pyramid of Giza's mathematical architectural design, and they reveal a literal Herculean task of erection. Accepting that mathematicians, scientists, and engineers can calculate, model, and express in real terms most of what they can imagine; the Great Pyramid at Giza is one feat they cannot replicate, for today's technology lacks the substance to produce any hope for a possible duplication of it.

Why not? It's because God fashioned the altar at Giza so that men could not steal their way into heaven. Duplication would remove the Pyramid's testimonial of a supernatural power at work in its construction and hence in resurrection. Eternal life is not of the will of man. It is a spiritual rebirth that man is not capable of working [John 1:13]. That's why the Bible tells us that salvation is not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He has saved us…[Titus 3:5].

The Enochian Connection

Josephus reports that Adam told his progeny that the world would experience two major cleansings pursuant to its restoration to an Edenic environment. One would be by fire and the other by flood. How did Josephus know this so as to report on it as fact? It was through Noah and Shem.

Noah was 600 years of age and Shem was 98 when the flood occurred. Both were connections to events in the antediluvian period, but Shem was the direct link to Abraham. In the antediluvian period, Shem talked first hand with Methuselah 98 years before his great grandfather died the year of the flood. Some scholars think he died the day before the rain started falling because his name 'Methuselah' means 'his death shall bring'. Bring what? It shall bring upon the world Adam's prophesied judgment by flood.

After the flood and before he died, Shem communicated with Abraham 150 years. So from Adam to Methuselah to Shem, and then to Abraham, antediluvian information was passed down through the patriarchs and Jewish sages on to Josephus, the brilliant learned Priest and authoritative historian of the Jewish race.

Enoch's Work For God

Since Enoch was 308 years old when Adam died, he had a first hand account of the Garden incident that brought a curse on the world. He also heard firsthand his great…grandfather Adam's prophetic word from the Lord that his sin would eventuate in two cataclysmic judgments. Considering that Methuselah was Enoch's son and Enoch fellowshipped with Adam for three centuries, Methuselah heard from the horse's mouth so to speak all the facts concerning the fall, the judgments to come, his father's monument built at the behest of God, and his father's translation. Therefore, Shem was in the know.

Evidently God wanted Adam to know the extent of the consequences of his one sin; so He informed Adam about the seriousness of the fall and how awful things would become for having allowed satan to gain godship of this world [2 Corinthians 4:4]. Not once, but twice God would have to cleanse earth in order to rescue men from tyrannical oppression and from earth upheavals resulting from sin. The principle law of Genesis ordained before the fall concerning sowing and reaping is at work here. Disobedience is sin, and sin reaps destruction and death.

God also wanted Adam's progeny to be forewarned. So when righteous Enoch came along, he believed what God told Adam about the two severe judgments to come. As a result, God highly favored Enoch like He did Noah and Abraham when they chose to believe His Words. Enoch became God's point man to reveal how important it is to believe God, take Him at His Word (which Adam did not), and walk by faith in all He says.

Shield of Faith

Faith Is The Substance Of Things Hoped For

It takes faith to get anything from God. Not being provable by sight [2 Corinthians 5:7], salvation is by faith, healing is by faith, Holy Spirit baptism is by faith, and divine blessing is by faith. Therefore, is it possible that translation is by faith?

Enoch obeyed God like righteous Noah and Abraham. All three righteous men acted on God's Word without visible evidence. Enoch's blessing was that he was privileged to build God's sign to fallen mankind that there is life after death and that the grave would be overcome by resurrection. One of the signs is that Enoch would become the firstfruits of being rewarded by rapture because of walking by faith. I'll come back to that in Appendix 1.

Jeremiah Refers To The Sign of Enoch
  Jeremiah 32:18-21
18 Thou shewest lovingkindness unto thousands, and recompensest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: the Great, the Mighty God, the Lord of hosts, is his name, (God loves mercy, but, being just, He must punish sin.)
19 Great in counsel, and mighty in work: for thine eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men: to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings: (God is righteous in recompensing men according to his ways, which is prophetic of two resurrections, one to life and a second to death.)
20 (God) hast set SIGNS and WONDERS in the land of Egypt, even unto this day, and in Israel, and among other men; and hast made thee a name, as at this day;
21 And hast brought forth thy people Israel out of the land of Egypt with SIGNS, and with WONDERS, and with a strong hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with great terror;

The above passage in Jeremiah comments that God set signs and wonders in …Egypt. The word 'set' is a verb meaning 'to put in place' something whereas 'with' is a preposition and in this case is affixed to nouns. A verb and a preposition are syntactically different. Therefore, the signs and wonders in verse 20 refer to having put something in place, while those of verse 21 are tokens of remembrances of the mighty arm of the Lord in bringing His people out of Egypt. One is a placing in Egypt and the other is a taking out of Egypt.

As a result of the foregoing analysis, we can surmise that Jeremiah is calling upon his readers to observe something that was placed in Egypt. I propose to show that the signs and wonders set in Egypt for the reader to take note of is the Great Pyramid of Giza along with its companion Sphinx monument. Both wonders are portals or keys to the starry gospel of salvation by grace. However, only the Pyramid sign is connected to this vision about a forthcoming rapture. It will become apparent as the vision's interpretation progresses.

Enoch Is A Firstfruit
According to the Bible, Enoch was the first person to bypass death. Since the firstfruits belong to God [Exodus 23:16], could that be why Enoch was taken to heaven by a rapture? The first of the firstfruits of all things shall be the priest's… [Ezekiel 44:30].

Since Jesus is now our High Priest forever after the Order of Melchisedec, all firstfruits belong to Him. Some Biblicists proclaim that seven raptures will take place before the Kingdom Age begins – 1) Enoch, 2) Elijah, 3) Jesus, 4) firstfruits of the Old Covenant at Jesus' resurrection, 5) firstfruits of the New Covenant at the close of the Church Age, 6) the two witnesses of the tribulation, and 7) the 144,000 sealed Jews of the tribulation period – it is accepted that the firstfruits constitute a significant group of believers who are numbered. They form the bride of Christ in the New Jerusalem.

Was Enoch chosen to be presented to God as the firstfruits of raptured believers in order to typecast a portion of God's outline for redemption of the world? Was his faith accounted to him for righteousness like Abraham's and his translation into heaven the blessing or fruit of overcoming faith in a rapture? These are questions that can only be answered by a thorough study of the Word of God and revelation knowledge from our Holy Spirit guide. I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way that thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye [Psalms 32:8].

We cannot deny that Enoch is a Biblical prototype of overcoming faith, for he is among the faith giants in Hebrews chapter eleven. He bypassed death to illustrate that uncompromised faith is a powerful force that can overcome anything, even death. Therefore, I submit that God selected Enoch to witness by his rapture that eternal life is a reality, for the Giza Pyramid attests to an empty tomb. Shades of Jesus' empty tomb!

Having been ordered by God to build two monuments testifying to the truth of two judgments, one of which would withstand the ravages of time and demonstrate overcoming faith that bypasses death, Enoch obeyed. According to Josephus, one monument was constructed out of bricks and the other out of stone. If there was one, the Noahic flood destroyed the brick monument set in Egypt [Jeremiah 32:20], but the waters marred very little the stone sign and wonder testifying to a fire bath to come.

The Witness of Enoch's Piller

  Isaiah 19:19-20
19 In that day shall there be an altar to the Lord in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar at the border thereof to the Lord.
20 And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto the Lord of hosts in the land of Egypt: for they shall cry unto the Lord because of the oppressors, and he shall send them a saviour, and a great one, and he shall deliver them.

According to the Scripture above, the Great Pyramid stands in Egypt as a testimony for God in these last days of human history that one judgment is past and another is coming, and it is coming on a set date encrypted into the Pyramid's measurements. Note that the witness for God spoken of in the above Scripture is … an altar… in the midst of the land of Egypt… It shall be for a sign… in that daywhen the Lord is ready to cleanse the earth by fire for the setting up of His Kingdom on earth. The altar will speak and when it does, it will testify to the fact that a fire judgment is nigh at hand. Woe unto us for alas, the mystical monument is speaking through its disclosed measurements that we are that generation who will experience the fire bath at the time of the end.

Measurements Correspond To Time
The Communion Table of our Lord is a remembrance to His having overcome death. Even so the Pyramid of Giza is a remembrance that Enoch overcame death by translation to heaven. The Communion Table preaches the gospel without saying a word, and Enoch's Pillar preaches the gospel without saying a word. The Table elements talk of a past judgment when the broken body of Christ and His shed blood manifested the wrath of God, and the Pyramidal elements talk of a coming judgment when the wrath of God will be manifested by fire on a Christ rejecting world. But there is hope in the monument's prediction because Enoch's translation foretells about a group of believers who will be spared the wrath of God when that happens. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ [1 Thessalonians 5:9].
The Communion Table
Amazingly, Giza's treasure is a testimony to eternal life much like Calvary's cross is a treasure to Eternal Life (Jesus). Both are altars witnessing that there is life after death. In the Communion Table, the body and blood elements equal the cross, whereas in the Pyramid, measurement equals time.

Pivotal events in history show up in the numerics of the Pyramid, and there seems to be a connection between them and what's going on in Jerusalem today. However, because God has chosen Jerusalem as the city in which to put His name [1 Kings 11:36] and the place from which He wants to rule, it is the Temple in Jerusalem that is at the center of time and history and not the Pyramid at Giza. Yet, revealed Pyramidal secrets connect the monument with Jerusalem – both Old Jerusalem and New Jerusalem.

Considering all the above, the message of this vision confirms that the measurements of Giza are projecting that we are out of time! They indicate that we are in the midst of the second seven-year cycle of Joseph's dream interpretation to Pharaoh about economic times in their day. Joseph's foreknowledge from God was prophetic of the economic situation at the end of the age right before the Second Advent of the King of Kings. He reported to Pharaoh that there would be two seven-year cycles wherein there would be seven years of plenty and seven of hardship. [Genesis 41:1ff]. Some people believe the seven years of plenty expired last fall in 2008 and that we are in the beginning of the seven years of drought. Are you ready for a rapture?

Egypt Is A Concept

As Well As A Location

satan's evil Cosmic System
Biblical scholarship agrees that the word 'Egypt' in the Bible is a mnemonic formula for the entire world's sociological system. The prophets of old often wrote using Egypt as a synecdoche for satan's evil cosmic system covering the whole world.

I believe that the two verses spoken by Isaiah [19:19,20], in fact, the whole of chapter nineteen, are referring to the last days of the times of the Gentiles Jesus was referring to in His Olivet discourse [Luke 21:24]. It is evident that this is so from the last half of verse twenty in Isaiah chapter nineteen where it reads: …the Lord sends a Savior, …a great one, …to deliver them, the people who survive cataclysmic upheavals and satanic oppression a la the Antichrist.

A few people will be delivered from the holocaust by rapture; but, excepting those people who survive to repopulate the Millennial Age, the vast majority will die. Therefore, the Pyramid of Giza declares in its gospel that God remembers His promise to deliver faith people from death by rapture. This will become clear as the vision unfolds.
